COLUMBUS – State Representative Stephanie Kunze (R–Hilliard) today announced her candidacy for Ohio’s 16th Senate District.

“I am running for the State Senate to keep Ohio’s momentum moving forward,” said Kunze. “Ohio has made great strides over the past three years and I am proud to have been part of that comeback as a member of the Ohio House. But we still have more to do, and I’m prepared to lead the way.”

“We need to help families by keeping taxes low so they can keep more of what they earn. We need make sure women in our state have access to opportunity in the workplace and affordable healthcare. We need to encourage and support anyone with an idea to step out and start a business. We need to build up the next generation of Ohioans by providing the best education and career options possible for our kids.”

“These are the issues my neighbors in Central Ohio care about the most. These are the issues I will address as the next Senator from the 16th District.”

During her tenure in the Ohio House, Kunze earned a reputation as a strong but reasonable voice for Central Ohio. She has advocated for efficiency in government, local control in our communities, personal property rights, and women and children’s health.

Kunze lives in Hilliard with her husband and two daughters.
